He's a handsome one for sure!

Do they feel as silky as they look?

Just gorgeous--now the mini silkies are they all fainters? or do they come in a standard and a myotonic? I know the lady we got our last myotonic from just started breeding the myotonic mini silkies.....I really had a hard time not talking myself into getting one...

most of the silkies are fainters, but they are not required to faint right now according to breed standard.  I can tell in time though that they will have to faint to be considered a true mini silky fainting goat.

no we do not do anything with their hair.  It is too thin to spin or weave.  They are breed for the look only.  The longer the hair the more desireable the goat is.

He is stunning!  Is there a lot of upkeep with grooming?

the bucks seem to require a lot more grooming but the girls are pretty low maintance.  I brush my girls once a month for 30 minutes.
