Hi! I came up with a nice way to preserve the ribbons that you or your children win.  All you need is a piece of card board (large enough to fit the ribbons or banner), double sided tape, hair dryer, and shrink wrap basket bags. You pretty much use the directions on the shrink wrap packet.  It seals them tight and flat.  We are doing this for when we are at the fair so that the flys don't poop on them because we have to display the ribbons all week long.   NOTE:  Buy extra bags (they aren't expensive)....I say this because if its your first time shrink wrapping something, you may need to redo it! I will post a pic of one of the banners my son won!

Here is a picture of the banner my son's goat won at the 2012 fair.  I think it turned out great!  The best part is that you can really see the shrink wrap at all!

I wish I would have thought of this sooner also!  I have a total of 5 banners and 40+ ribbons to do!  I will post a "how to" with pictures if anyone would like me to.  My daughter is going to use this as her "informative presentation" for her 4-H club so I will have step by step instructions with pictures.  Let me know if you would like me to post it.

Yes, Please post instructions. All I could think was "how do you keep the banner from wrinkling?"  Smiley
