Is it 1 cc/10 lbs orally for both Ivomectin (once) and Safeguard (5 days), then one repeat of each in ten days?  I know I have this written down somewhere and can't find it for the life of me!

Thanks,

Pat

Ivomec is dosed at 1cc per 50lbs of body weight.  Redosed in 10 to 14 days.

Safeguard is dosed at 1cc per 10lbs of body weight.  Given once daily for 5 days.

Ivomectrin horse paste wormer is dosed at 3x's the body weight...example: if the goat tapes out at 100lbs, you'll dial the tube to dose for 300lbs.

Birdie, the Ivomec I have is the Drench for sheep.  It's a 0.08% solution.
Is that what I use at 1 cc per 50 lbs?

Once I get this figured out, I'm going to write it in a sharpie on the front of my "goat general health" folder, so I don't forget again. Man, do I hate getting old and forgetful!

Thanks for your help

The dosage on that says 3cc's per 26lbs of body weight for sheep.  I would assume that you use that same amount on goats.  That's a pretty low percentage, as the Ivomec  Paste for horses is 1.87%, so I don't think giving the 3cc's per 26lbs would hurt a goat.  Never used any products listed for just sheep before, so I can't be certain about that dosage.
