We had to put our dog down last week because of bladder cancer.  She was a shelter dog we got as a puppy 9 years ago.  We treated her for bladder stones with a special dog food and antibiotics for 2 months and I thought she was doing better but was not yet at 100%.  Let her out last Thursday morning and her urine was tinged with blood.  When she got done she dripped blood all over the deck.  Called vet got her in and she said it was bladder cancer and there was no cure and surgery was not an option.  We brought her home and buried her out under the apple trees, where she loved being.

Cry  Canine cancer is as hard to except as human cancer.  I've lost 3 dogs to cancer, and I feel your pain.  I'm so sorry for your loss.

It is hard.  She always slept in hubby's chair and now it sits there empty.  Our dogs are our family.....they are in the house all the time except to go to the bathroom.  They are sitting under the table waiting for scraps from dinner and sleep at our feet and one sleeps in our bed.  We had her a long time and she is missed.  Thanks all for the support, it is appreciated.
