I have had fiber goats for about 10 years, and this year the does still haven't come into heat!  I have two bucks on the other side of the fence, and.....nothing.  Usually the girls charge into heat in late August.
Ideas?  Anyone?

Mine were late also. I am blaming the odd weather patterns.

I agree with Dragonlair.  The weather has been very odd this year.  When that first lasting cold front hits, you'll see a big difference then.  Is your boys rutting yet?  Teasing and romancing through the fence?  It's early yet...it's just the first week of October...you've got a lot of time.

We have had odd weather here too and if your August/ Sept and now October have been as hot as ours it is no wonder they are not interested.  I usually breed mid- Oct or early Nov and right now y does are really going at each other and seem so irritable.  When I pick my buck up this Friday I am thinking he will have a bunch of girls more than ready.

Have you thought of just putting the buck in with the does ?  They might need more romancing than a fence will allow  Roll Eyes

My boys have actually been in rut since August. Nothing like rut in 90 degree, 90% humidity weather!  Sad Roll Eyes laugh tongue

Oh Charles you are way too funny!

But yes I'd consider just turning whoever you want bred in with him.
