Well, I just went outside to give her Penn and Oxy and she was eating her hay, she drank more molasses water and I gave her grain and she was eating that.

  She looks pretty good.

I was praying the whole time I was trying to get that kid out.  I just hope the lord will save her for me.  I feel horrible.

I just checked her.  She is doing good, she is eating and chewing her cud, so I am still praying.

sorry you are having a hard time there lori.  glad she is eating , the oxi should help if you did make a small tear as it will cause the uterus to clamp down.

It sounds like she is going to be OK Lori. I don't think she would be eating and cudding if her uterus was torn. When the vet pulled a dead kid from Lily last year and her uterus tore she just stood very quietly and died overnight. She didn't eat or drink or move. So ,hopefully, Night will have got away with just bad bruising.
If you can get hold of any homeopathic Arnica that would help her a lot. It's always worth having arnica around for difficult births.

Lori, I don't think you harmed her uterine.  When this happened to one of my Does years ago, my Vet told me she would bleed internally and would be gone within 12 to 24 hours.  Well apparently it didn't tear her uterine, because she lived and gave birth every year afterwards..I did give her a complete year off after that delivery..I made sure she was healed and doing well, by taking her to the vet to have her checked for scarring tissue and so forth before I put her back with a buck.  The Vet could find nothing wrong with her, it was like she hadn't even been through it.  The vet was amazed to see her alive, as she really figured she had torn that uterine pulling those kids out of her..but nope it didn't happen.

I'm really sorry to hear about the kids..But it's a nice save on your Doe.  Good job Lori.

well, as I was thinking about going out to feed this morning, I figured I better prepare myself for the worse.  I turned on the TV to see the barn camera.  As I said a prayer and opened my eyes, SHE WAS UP AND EATING.  Pray  OH prais God.  I was so happy.

OH Pearplum,  I swear by Arnica.  I did give her it several times.  I also gave her what is called Thua.  It is in the same line as Arnica, but it helps your body heal faster.  So she also got that this morning.

In all the years I have done this and I have gone into the does I have never ever given Penn or any antibiotic and I have never ever had a problem.  I have gone into at least a doe or two if not more a year and I have never done it before, but I sure am giving her Penn.  Am I correct, 3cc per 100 pounds?

I know i still have a bit to make sure she is out of the woods, but I feel a lot better she ate her graina nd a lot of her hay.

Having to go inside a doe to help her deliver is just the same as a surgeon having to go inside a person to operate.  The person gets antibiotics after to make sure there isn't any infection from outside sources---the same with helping a goat at delivery.  You introduced a foreign object (your hand) inside the doe's body.  Infection can take place.  So the penicillan is really just a preventative measure.  I seldom give shots of any kind---but if we have to go inside a doe---we do the penicillan.  One shot a day for 5 days is a small price compared to what an internal infection would be!!
3 cc's is just fine.

I am so glad your doe is doing well! Praise God for sure! Isn't it something how, you can do something so many times, and suddenly it seems like something has gone wrong, really does a job on your nerves, and then praise be... all is well! I was getting worried reading this thread, but in the end, it seems to have turned out okay. I gotta say it, I hope I can hold up under such pressure if/when my girls have babies. Horses, ponies and cows... lots bigger then these little guys! God love you for having the guts to do what had to be done!
