Or a ride in the back of a pick up over a bumpy dirt road?

It seems I am a victim of the "code of honor" LOL ..... She is soaking in all of the attention and the cool box fan in her bedding area! She is no fool....This time of year it is ALL her show! No other does to steal the lime light....If I were her then I would hold those babies as long as possible! But it is driving he "midwife" bonkers!!!

As the code of honor states!!!! We left to go out of town Friday morning and our doe had made no change. My son called me on Saturday and stated that Copper had kidded some time in the night Friday Night. She had twins - 1 buckling and 1 doeling. I have posted pix for you to see...the dark one is the boy and the light one laying down is the doeling.

We considered maybe Blondie and Dagwood for the names.
My son liked Boss for the Buckling, We may have to go with that since he did the goat care while we were gone.
Any name suggestions?

Blondie is a cute name for the girl. Smiley I'm not sure about the boy. Boss makes him sound manly though  Grin

Thanks guys! I think she did a great job! I had no clue as to what to expect.Since she was "open" when we got her...I never asked questions about the sire! They are cute and they seem to be healthy! Glad I finally got home and gave them the once over! I just hope this terrible heat does not get the best of them!

Congratulations!!  They are just adorable!!  Copper did very well.

Yes, the heat will be bad on those tiny babies, so if you can keep them in the shade and watch them closely for awhile.  Babies don't have a clue they are overheating and won't move to a cooler spot.

I'm so happy she had no complications and birthed on her own.
