I found two sites..one on the boarder of Kanasas/Missouri and one in K.C. Missouri..

The kanasas boarder market says averaging $1.00 per pound, but even I know that's not the going prices any more so that has to be an old website.

The one in Kanasas City Missouri says they are going over $2.00 per pound and that I know is right for Missouri..Dixiecup got $2.75 per pound on her 4 month old weighing 90 pounds last fall.

Both sites said there is a great shortage of goat meat in the U.S.  But of course the U.S. ships our goat meat out of the country!!  figures huh?

Don't know about online, but there are a couple of Auction houses, maybe look for thier sites, sometimes if they maintain a site, they'll post how they did....
Check Belleville, KS
Yates Center, KS
And Clay City, KS....
Let me know if I have the names wrong if you can't find anything..
Also, if you want to emial, I somehow ended up on a list, they send out meat goat prices around the country, but they also have people that report in from around the state from time to time...and I'll send you the info to get on the list.

Interesting, it's a listing, but I don't see the ones that handle goats on them.... or sheep... looking closer, I am not sure any of them do! I know there are about 10 auction houses in KS that do... I don't even see the ones I mentioned on there... lol
Yates Center and Clay City, handle thousands of head; they are the big auction houses. Belleville is getting up there...they even expanded to an online auction

I was just trying to help also, as I went through this when I first was looking for Auction houses. And the cattle people, they can be pretty catty...and I found it interesting that not even ONE of the ones I listed was on there. Yates Center is a BIG auction house, even with cattle.
I tried to Cover different areas by Mentioning the ones I did, Yates Center is down near the OK/MO border int he SE area of the state. Belleville is up near NEB...

I remember hauling cattle by the semi trucks over into Dodge City, years ago..we got better prices if we had enough to go on a semi truck.  As for goats, depending how far away you are..Southwest City, Missouri has a huge goat auction twice a month..you get good prices there..last I heard from some folks over in OK..who ships goats out through the railroad, they said they were getting any where from $2.50 to $3.00 per pound.

There are a lot of goat auction barns in Missouri..maybe one in K.C., Missouri..since they too have a lot of auction houses, but how close they would be, is the question.  Depends on how many you have to sell.  The folks over in OK, is the ones we got Timmy from..they have the biggest herd of meat goats I've ever seen..and the railroad stops at their farm (which goes through their farm), and they load right off their own farm onto railroad cars.

Where they go from there, I'm not sure.  I actually didn't want to know.  It was kinda sad.

Are those prices live weights or after butchering?  Sounds pretty good to me, if it's live weight!
